As I left the Catholic church, yoga, that is, Raja Yoga of the Himalayan Institute in US, was my first step and one I value very much. I learned to meditate formally (had been doing it without giving it a name), and studied the chakra system, the nervous system of the etheric body, etc. All very helpful and useful. I still do some hatha yoga postures regularly.
Along the way I became a Reiki master and practice it daily - I bless my food, dog, plants, my daily healing candle, and send healing energy whenever asked to do so.
I love the energy of crystals and work with them, especially for meditation and shamanic journeys. I have many in my home, each one programmed with its own purpose.
I see the purpose and energy of each of these as complementary but separate, so I don't combine them. Neither do I combine my practices of shamanism, Druidry, and/or Wicca. Each is complimentary IMO, with a similar world outlook, but they aren't the same. Each is unique. I've seen attempts to blend and, IMO, it only waters down the essence of whatever you attempt to blend and leaves it weaker. For myself, I practice separately and deeply, rather than blend parts of each of my paths. I feel it's disrespectful of each path to take a part of it and attempt to force it into alignment with other paths, when this isn't how it developed, and overlooks its essential foundation qualities. Yes, all paths may have the same goal, but as I see it, each path is separate with a different route, and each is to be valued for itself and in itself.
