Requesting some strength and healing energy

Postby Aitrus » 26 Feb 2011, 00:58

I'm getting mentally and spiritually ready to undergo some surgury next Friday. It's nothing serious at this point, but it needs to be done to fix a small problem that could limit me in many ways down the road. It's an outpatient procedure, but I'll be flat on my back for at least a week after that point with as little movement as possible.

I'm not worried that much about complications, moreso about the success of the surgury and a quick healing process.

Any positive blessings / energy / thoughts would be much appreciated.

Follow-up time.

The surgury went fine, the problem seems to have been taken care of. Now I'm sitting on the couch for the next week or so with icepacks, lots of tea, popcorn and a stack of books I've been meaning to read.

Thanks for all the help, guys!

Hope the recovery goes well, it would idlyllic, books tea, popcorn but the icepacks makes me think they may be some pain involved from the surgery.

There is some pain, but more swelling and stiffness than anything else so long as I behave myself and don't move around too much.

I did a lot of herbal preparation before going into this. I'm doing some herbal teas to take the edge off, along with some aromatherapy to help keep me relaxed. Tense muscles would just increase the pain and swelling. The incision sites are getting astringent rubs morning and night to stave off infection.

My doctor gave me a funny look when I told him that while I probably wouldn't be using the painkiller prescription, I would keep it on hand in case I decided to take advantage of it.
