Prior to administering anything, homeopathic or conventional to anyone's diet, pets especially, we feel that personal health history must be considered, and a medical professional should be consulted. There are many instances where even the most "harmless" additive has had contraindications and caused more harm than good. We believe everyone here is responsible and understands that, but it is important to re-state. This is a public forum, viewable by guests as well as members, and is cataloged by most search engines.

Hi all
I am interested in this but believe I would need the basic level 1 training and attunment before I could even consider it
Has/does anyone do equine reiki and what advice can you give?

Hi Shirley
I'm not sure about Reiki but I'm a level 4 Healing Touch practitioner through Healing Touch International. Healing Touch is a energy healing modality along the same basic lines as Reiki.
There is a group that has a dedicated course for work with animals. Their website is:
http://www.healingtouchforanimals.com/I have used the Healing Touch that I have learned on my pets & even injured wild animals to great effect.
Good luck with your search!

Sue
Many thanks for that info. Would you believe that I was looking at this yesterday. Perhaps this is a direction to me. It is good to hear from someone who actually does this and can vouch for its success. I am also researching Margrit Coates who appears to be a leader in the field of reiki animal healing.

Ps. Cannot find the UK site I had yesterday and seems as though Healing Touch does not have a database for other countries, only US

I actually use it on animals a regular basis. In my experience cats seem to resist it. YMMV
Unfortunately, I do not have any great links to give. Blessings on your search.
