The power of Brigit

Postby sarum » 04 Feb 2013, 10:10

I thought I might just share this experience with you.
On the night of Lammas/Imbolc I had occasion to care for a patient who was dying,(i work in an A&E trauma centre)
The family were all present and the pain they were feeling was unbearable.
I placed a hand on his head and asked Brigit to offer comfort,i asked that she did as she willed to end his suffering, be it cure or assist in his passing.
Within the hour he was fully alert pain free and stable.I spoke with the family today ( and the Patient) who still do not understand how he survived.
I would like to think that the invocation had such strong power because of the festival we were celebrating.
Would welcome your thought.

How beautiful and fascinating! I don't think its unreasonable to think that the powers of Bridgid would be greater and she would be nearer on this holiday. Afterall, it does honor her, and so many people have her in mind that day that I would imagine her energies to be stronger. Just my opinion...

You know what, a lot of interesting things happen in the A and E department of hospitals...and hospitals in general. I remember a few interesting things that have happened there. I think that it is very special that this experience happened at Imbolc and whose to say that Brigid didn't have a hand in the healing process of this patient

This is wonderful, Sarum. Brigit's healing energies have come through your invocation - Spirit wants us to mediate. Well done.

Brigid bless!

I think that whenever you have such a purely positive intention, the universe responds. It could have responded by ending this person's pain with death, but your request left the outcome open, thus acknowledging the sovereignity of the Spirit. Well done.

That is really quite incredible! I would like to hear more stories like that. I can't say that anything quite that amazing has happened in my life, but I can certainly offer my affirmation of Brigid's power and wisdom. She has been my closest spiritual ally so far on my journey and I have had more than a few occasions where she has done something to remind me that she is still there for me.

Thanks again for all your comments.
Just an update, I met the patient today in town [purely by chance], walking with a stick and looking a little pale.
They said that they do not remember much about that night, but they felt, and still feel someone is close by to comfort and protect them.
Now thats cool!

Just sometimes the gods and goddess' listen and help us out. Have had an experience of the goddess' helping me possibly heal a friend. We'll never really know why the events turned out how they did.Lovely to read about.
