She's the goddess of love The goddess in green The goddess of all That I've ever seen The goddess of hope The goddess in brown The goddess of all That you've burned to the ground
A bit of an experiment here. I was going for an oil-paint look. What looks like brushstrokes are actually hundreds of tiny leaves. It's not a "magic eye" of course but I found that when I just let my eyes sit for a bit, Persephone's sad face appeared like a ghost inside her prison. She seems to be staring right into my eyes.
The dwarves, in Northern mythology were renouned for their magical craftsmanship. It was the dwarves who created the special items owned by the gods. Some examples are: Thor's mighty hammer, Mjolnir; Odin's spear, Gungnir; Frey's magic boat, Skidbladnir; and Sif's golden hair. In fact, I almost titled this piece "The Forging of Sif's Hair" for reasons that can easily be seen.
Since cartoons often consist of multiple frames, these four images comprise a single entry.
How this was created: These four cartoons were created using the Aurora toolset for the PC game Neverwinter Nights. The work involved creating two 3D environments (inside and outside the Pub), customising the character models, and programming cut-scenes using the 'C' language to get suitable camera angles. Once this was completed, I then ran the code, taking screenshots and pasting these into Photoshop to add the dialogue captions and crop the images.
Part I: The Druid's Head Pub has closed early! Ithilas, Alferian, Crow and Kat Lady stand outside, wondering what to do next...
Part II: Just then a familiar figure appeared down the road. It was Gandalf2004! His helpful links will surely save the day!
Part III: So the group was magically transported into the pub, where they were greeted by Snarg the blue air dragon. Rancid suddenly awoke from a peaceful slumber beside the bar, and glared across the room at the intruders...
Part IV: Kat Lady's eyes suddenly widened with delight, as she noticed an unopened bottle of mead, almost begging to be drunk...

The Healer - she comes from my dreams.
It's a sketch altered in Photoshop plus some elements made with Bryce and Illustrator.
The Forest Cathedral - I often see it, when looking at forest's vaults I used here photos taken by me in the Basque Country and in the polish mountains called Beskid Makowski, altered using Photoshop, plus skans of desiccated plants.
Full Moon I made it using Bryce, Photoshop and scan of myself.[/b]

Our path may be difficult, or just plain hard to see. But always there are beacons, to guide you and me.
This picture was taken on one of the hardest days of my life. Struggling in bad weather in Jotunheimen national park in norway. Tired, hungry, cold and wet. The beacons eventually lead us to safety, that's what they are for...
Wedding anniversary present made with photoshop and our weddingpictures of us and mine and his parents:
On the pic in the upper right corner is my husbands dad. He came home from the hospital only for that day to be at our wedding. Last november he died of lungcancer. We got married so he could be there with us. It just made it a very special day and makes this piece of artwork even more special.
Entry: Glastonbury Overload I made this movie (click the still) out of images taken in in Glastonbury and a piece of music courtesy of Blizzard Entertainment/Matt Uelmen.
(I am claiming fair use rights for the music as it serves an educational purpose and is not for profit)
I hope you have the patience to load 1.9 megs and watch it....

I'm currently working on something using Poser 6, with Photoshop for the finishing touches... Though I doubt it will be completed in time to enter. Maybe next time.
Thank you for your kind words Ithilas I've never used Poser, I know next to nothing about modelling - the only 3D programme I really use is Bryce I hope that nevertheless you will have finished your work on time - I'm curious about it
Edited Version (11 July 2005): In the original version of this portrait, I was unhappy with the lack of contrast between the figure and the background. So after some thought, I re-rendered a fresh copy using a background which gives more emphasis to the character, and also changed the angle of the camera. I am now finally satisfied with this image, so there is no need for further modifications.
I created this using Poser 6, with Photoshop for the finishing touches. Please click on the thumbnail below for a fullscreen version (1024x768 - suitable as wallpaper). Keep in mind that some browsers automatically adjust the dimensions of large pictures to fit them inside the window, so if the full-screen image appears a little pixellated, that is probably the reason why.
