Really enchanting Dara! I love the most the first one and as Skylark I have never seen a tree like this.

And mine :)

Here is a Picture of Birch Threes that are at a Top of a Hill 3 1/2 Km North of Downtown Hiroshima that I took in June of 2000. They are part of the Grove opposite the Entrance of the Hiroshima Youth Hostel.

All their Trunks are Crustations of Charcoal.

I have a Sample of their Burnt Bark Preserved on my Altar.

It was mainly because of my experiences in Hiroshima that I Voted in the Lughnasad Eisteddfod Photo Category for "Tenacity", which was a picture of a Pine Tree that was still growing out of a side of a Mountain, even though a huge chunk of the Mountain had slid away leaving most of its Roots Exposed.

Arctic Sunset

I took this photo at 10pm on the border between the Yukon and Northwest Territories, Canada; latitude 67 degrees north; September 3, 2005.

An Inukshuk is a human figure made of rocks, now commonly used as a symbol of welcome and friendship.

Enjoy!

The Coffin Road

Postby Badger Bob » 29 Sep 2005, 20:02

This is a picture of the coffin road connecting my village with the parish church. They are called coffin roads because most of the traffic was to and from the church for special occasions, christenings, marriages and funerals, livestock and market trade going by the low road. Derbyshire folk, being morbid (but happy) buggers prefer to think of the last trip rather than the others. Many coffin roads actually precede their Christian connections.

Th'owd man o'Kinder

Postby Badger Bob » 29 Sep 2005, 20:07

A Derbyshire Tup surprised on the southern slopes of Kinder Scout. He followed me a short way up the hill and stole a couple of jammy dodgers while I was having a coffee.

that's really beautifull, dryadia

Here's: "receiving the blessing of the sun".
it was on the day of the summer gathering when the ceremony had ended we (our seedgroup) went to the top of the Tor and the sky was so beautiful
and i had the idea to stand there just like the druid on
the "Bardic companion" or the "Book of ritual"
after looking at it result on photo it was like the horizon is on fire.

Blessings from under the Oak,

Taste the pure Water that flows from the stream. Feel the solid Earth beneath your feet
