Notice: Please add your original artwork for the current Eisteddfod here. Entries for this category include paintings, drawings, sculpture, and so forth, that were created through use of the hands and manual tools such as brushes, paints or pencils, but excluding computers.
This is my first entry. I have not yet learned the finer points of scrying, but I still wanted a dish set aside for that purpose. This piece was hand-built from light red clay to resemble a tree stump. It has two (or three?) shades of gray on the outside with both glossy and matte-finish glazes on it. The inside is about 3/4-inch deep, with jet black glossy glaze.
The subject line has the title of the piece.

You never know how far you can go, until you are willing to take the next step.
This is Morda he is 7 inches long and 4 inches high. His eye sockets are empty and you can place your thumb inside his mouth. He looks like a Dusky slug viewed from above. Morda took 2 weeks to carve and he sits on my alter.
Moderator please move photo`s if they take up too much room. Thank you.

I created this tiny salamander from FIMO, a kind of artist’s clay.

I formed him around a small black glass stone, as though embracing a coal or pebble of volcanic glass.

He is roughly the size of a penny.
