Transformation to the Otherworld
This sculpture has one eye, one leg bone, and one arm pointing to the sky.
It measures 8 inchs long, 7 inches high,, and 4 1/2 depth. It took 2-3 weeks to carve from a piece of wood found in a river. On one side it has a leg bone on the otherside there is a salmon. This is symbolic of assuming the position of a crane, standing on one leg, one arm behind the back and one eye closed. In stories, Balor had one eye, as did Odin who it is said gave one of his eyes to the Well of Rememberance.
