a skilled hand

Wisdom can be found in 3 ways:

Through the lessons of history; the lives of others and the journey of self-examination.

The three lessons of the Mountain;
you cannot conquer a mountain - it allows you to reach the top,
the eagle eyed view puts problems in perspective
it is only upon getting home that you can review how far you've come.

The three signposts to Belonging:

• Our Ancestors, warts and all.
• The land where we stand.
• Teachers from other worlds.

Three dark stains on the heart:

the tattoo of a grudge nursed and tended
the calligraphy of finely-crafted vengeance
and the blot of words of angry indiscretion

The three requirements to successful teaching:
- the tools to deliver the lesson
- the drive to want to teach
- the pupil to listen

It is only with the appropriate skills and a want to deliver it that the teacher is ready. Without the pupil the preparation is wasted.
