If anyone ever tells you "there's no flippin' way!" now you can answer them intelligently...

"Yes there is, and it's located in Cary, North Carolina."

My Entry is called, Flippin' Way....

Title: Water Goddess

Hoh Rainforest, Olympic National Park, Washington, 2007. I found this waterfall on a hike and took several pictures of it with different exposures. It was only after I downloaded and looked at it later did I "see" her long, silvery hair and her green arms outstretched in welcome. :)

When I took this picture it reminded me of the Awen.
So the title:

Title: Green Man

When you stray but a little from the path, the forest gives prize his treasures.

This carving of the Green Man is unknown to most people walking or jogging through this forest in the middle of the busy suburbs. You have to know what to look for, otherwise only chance will reveal the hidden path through the trees. When you stray but a short distance from the walkway, you'll come to a small clearing, surrounded by ancient, gigantic trees - the guardians of the forest. And in this clearing you'll find a log - adorned with beautiful carvings. At one end, the face of the Green Man has been carved into the wood. And time has given the Green Man it's ancient, wizened look.

I don't know who carved this or why. But it's a magical experience when you suddenly find yourself in this clearing looking at the Green Man.

Title: Spiral

I took this in the Enchanted Garden at Groombridge place. Having the children appear and run round the double spiral just seemed to enhance the picture. The only amendment was to reduce its size (originally a 10mp image) to 350 pixels wide.

I can't compete with the beautiful stuff I have seen there, but I post it anyway...

The foto was taken after we had a 3-day bout of storm up here. I had given up all hopes of seeing the sun this weekend, but on Sunday afternoon it was all of a sudden brilliant weather - felt like a mirage. So out I went to be on the beach.

And there it was, the Rainbow Bridge:

05.33 a.m. 31/07/07 NORTH SEA

35 minutes, 8.5 mile, cold dark (mountain) bike ride. Didn't even need the tripod strapped to the bike.
It was worth it just, in fact I was honoured to witness such a display.

My husband, our son and I were walking the dogs in a local forest. This tree stump caught my eye. The vast variety of life that had come from the death of this tree was to me truely awesome.

Just returned from the Dominican Republic so my pictures are from there.

These bats inside a beautiful cave somehow reminded me of Samhuinn, so that is why I chose this picture. I call it "The Bat cave!" hehehe.

Goddess of the Well.

I took this pic of the little channel that flows down the lawn at the Chalice Well gardens. It was pointed out to me later that there was a face in the water (turn your head slightly to the left). Perhaps that of the Lady herself, perhaps Brighid, perhaps Mary, who knows but a reminder of the spirit of the place.

Hi

This is a picture I took in Broceliande Forest, Brittany, after a Merlin´s Wisdom workshop. It´s one of the Gates we crossed to enter the Otherworld.
