Here is my entry. This is entitled simply 'Owl' and I took it at the local owl sanctuary. This guy's spirit really caught my attention, plus how beautiful he is.

Title is "Tree knot"

I walk my two dogs at this park in St. Paul, Minnesota almost every weekend and have been on this path many times. One day I just looked up and was amazed at what I saw. It was a surreal experience, like I could feel the Greenman watching over us.

This is one of the memories that inspired my "River Bride" poem, it's my first ever view of Niagra Falls and it completely stopped me in my tracks as I stood in total awe of it, so the picture will also be entitled;

This is as near as they can get to a Stone Age Pig.   Achieved by lots of cross-breeding, this sow is at the Cotswold Farm Park and Rare Breed Centre, Gloucestershire, UK.   The piglets are Striped when born but they have almost lost their striped now... except for the one in the centre... who is the wrong way round - stripes are just visible.

"Light at Imbolc"

This picture was taken in a lonely valley in the Bavarian Alps, when the last rays of the January sun illuminated the deeply frozen landscape like a distant promise of spring.

I encountered this tree-person on a walk through the park on my lunchbreak. He made me smile and I though I might as well enter the picture in this competition.

It was really hard to decide which photo to choose, I tend to be too critical of my own work, and none of it really seems good enough to me. So I went to the peanut gallery (hubby and friends) and let them decide which one they liked best.
So here it is.
