I wrote this song for Imbolc 2007. It was recorded on my ancient pc with a cheap mic. Then I played it back and recorded a second track over it. The lyrics pretty much speak for themselves. There are two layers in the song. See if you can pick them up.
Enjoy,

Lady in White
(Em D C) Capo on 2

Click to listen => Lady in White

(intro) Em Dsus
It is winter, for months already.
The wind blows across the bare fields. Fine crystals of snow hit the windows and form flowers of ice.
It is dark. Dark and cold. Frozen puddles glisten in the moonlight.
Will it ever be spring again? Will the snow drops return? with their message of hope?
Heralding the Lady in White.

Em D C
In the old days, I used to walk! through the fields golden and green with crops
In the old days, the birds sang their freedom into bright blue sky
In the old days, I used to walk! by the stream, the grass damp and moist
In the old days, the sun warmed my heart, brought colour to my days

But now the old days are dark and gone
The earth herself has grown dark and cold
And the old days are sacrificed
And the water has turned to ice

(refr)
Lady in white, when will you come back again (2x)
to warm our hearts
to warm our hearths

In the old days, when the harvest! was ripe we gathered for our feasts
In the old days, our fires lit! the skies when our bonfire flames leaped
In the old days, we would to thank! our gods in our own ways
In the old days, we lived the wheel

But now the old days seem dark and gone
Mother earth herself has grown dark and cold
But in the old days we sacrificed
Before the water had turned to iceeeeee

(refr)
Lady in white, you will come back again (2x)
to warm our hearts
to warm our hearths
Lady Brighid! Lady Brigid!
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence

Okay, here is a brand new song, just writ this past Wednesday.

I admit I did borrow a line from Robert Frost, but hey, if you're gonna borrow, borrow from the best, right? :D

Anyway, hope you enjoy it:

Only Hope

This is a song which comes from the movie, A Walk To Remember, originally sang by Mandy Moore, but I really love the message of the song and wanted to share it here.

If the link doesn't work, please try right-clicking on it and choose "Save Target As"... If that still doesn't work, PM me and I'll e-mail it to you.

Here are the lyrics:

Only Hope
Mandy Moore : A Walk to Remember

There's a song - that's inside - of my soul.
It's the one that I've tried to write over and over again
I'm awake in the infinite cold.
But you sing to me over and over and over again.

So, I lay my head back down.
And I lift my hands and pray
To be only yours, I pray, to be only yours
I know now you're my only hope.

Sing to me - the song - of the stars.
Of your galaxy dancing and laughing and laughing again.
When it feels like my dreams are so far
Sing to me of the plans that you have for me over again.

So I lay my head back down.
And I lift my hands and pray
To be only yours, I pray, to be only yours
I know now, you're my only hope.

I give you my destiny.
I'm giving you all of me.
I want your symphony, singing in all that I am
At the top of my lungs, I'm giving it back (to you).

So I lay my head back down.
And I lift my hands and pray
To be only yours, I pray, to be only yours
I pray, to be only yours
I know now you're my only hope.
