I was trying to photograph the rising moon, but all i got (to my amazement! :o ) was a close-up of the fence that keeps the goats out of the garden. You can just see Elvis, a goat, through the mesh.

Texture of Nature

I took this picture while touring the old homes of Wilmington, NC. To me, it revealed the texture of nature itself.

Mousehole

I took this last summer. To me, what I was seeing through the lens described the beauty of this island of Britain.

For me, spring is all about Flowers and Colours and Scents....

Here is a picture of a walled garden in Stratford-upon-Avon, taken last year in April.
[Edit] I have been asked to put in a title, so here it is: Walled Garden

Samhain greetings from down under - this was taken a couple of weeks ago at Karekare Beach here in New Zealand (Karekare is where the film The Piano was filmed, for trivia fans!)

Aphrodite's Bath
Taken last year in Cyprus - I wonder if we were there the same time as Susan. Foliage in the picture is fig - there's a lot of fig and carob around that particular spot. Joint entry between myself and pobble as we took several fairly similar shots at this spot using the same camera and can't remember who took what. :)

The Mouse Trap
The dangers of litter
Having spent several days clearing litter from our roadside I found this sad little field mouse who had gone into the coke can and got stuck. Unable to get out it died wedged in the opening.

This photo was taken last Sunday morning during the somewhat unseasonal snowfalls. The birds were queueing up peacefully for breakfast.

Not the best photo here but I've been watching these buds get fatter by the day as I ride to work, so thought I'd share them. I like the unusual view as there is a bridge which spans a dene and you can reach out and touch (if you wished), that which you would normally stand on the ground and get a sore neck looking at.
It's a Chestnut tree...
