I need to take care of my body with good food and movement, nuture personal growth and spiritual connection by walking my path, and live authentically without being ashamed of who I am. On that foundation I can build the life my heart desires.

Golden marguerite, who surrounds herself with children

There are as many types of women as there are flowers, each with her own style of defense. Gardening has taught me that the garden is more a battlefield than I ever believed possible, and that survival depends upon persistence, strength and ingenuity as much as beauty. Adapt to your surroundings or change them to suit your needs, these flower-women say, and when opportunity presents itself, take it.
