2008 LUGHNASADH/IMBOLC TRIADS ENTRIES

Postby Earthwoman » 22 Jun 2008, 16:44

Notice: Please add your original triads of wisdom for the current Eisteddfod here. Please note that for fairness of competition, entries should be single triads, e.g. 'The three components of __: X, Y, and Z,' and not of the 3x3 variety.

This is the triad I was going to post last time, I kind of like it so I have posted it now

never let sail by

Three ships you should never let sail by
Friendships
Partnerships
Kinships

Arguments and disagreements can keep people a part, for many a year
Forgive, agree to disagree and never let these three ships sail by

Three sights one will always treasure:
the stars in a clear winter sky,
the first bloom of springtime,
and the shine in a true love's eyes
We are raised to honor all the wrong explorers and discoverers--
thieves planting flags, murderers carrying crosses.
Let us at last praise the colonizers of dreams.
-Peter S. Beagle

A good decision has three roots:
A fantasy in your mind.
A passion in your hart.
A tickle in your stomach.

The Blessed Three

There are three whose duty it is to be True to themselves for the Greater Good:
the Prophet,
the Poet,
and You.

We live in an age brimming with the testaments of prophets and poets and we may be intimidated into thinking that we are too insignificant to make a difference. We must remember, however that all of us have something to give and we can never judge for our selves just how small or great our contributions may be.

"If a man does not keep pace with his companions,
perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer.
Let him step to the music he hears,
however measured or far away."

The three tenets of a Druid; a seeking heart, an open mind and a free spirit.

Three songs of joy:
a sparrow on the windowsill,
an un-dammed river;
a child on a swing.

The three outlooks on life.

There are three ways to take the world: as it is, as you wish it, and as you know it should be

The mundane person looks at the world and accepts it at face value, assuming that they cannot change anything.
The foolish person believes that the world will oblige his every whim, and squanders his life.
Those who are wise work to make the world a better place.
