I debated about whether to put this here or in physical art (especially since P.A. was my original intention), but something tells me I should put it here instead.



My only regrets? No room for Concord grapes and I couldn't get my ivy to look quite right, so I took it out.

Oh, and in case you can't read my "fancy writing", it says, "Have a Happy and Prosperous Lammas".

Here is an oil painting I did after a visit to Avebury.

I wrote this poem about the sacrifice the green man makes every year it’s called lay me down.
I hope it’s seasonal enough, sorry it doesn’t rhyme but I like it.



Lay me down.


Lay me down in the dew of dawn
Sacrifice but do not morn

Throw the sickle
Cut my neck

Leave to rot
in winters spoil

Wake me up
and plough the fields

Rejoice in song
as I m still here

Reborn a new
in the fresh crop of life

Sowilo! The sun shine's o'er day,
night's borders beaten back by the ray,
blood rushes, the inner lily blooms.

Tranquilo - the short hem of night's dress
diamond fleck'd glitters to impress,
nose flush'd with honeysuckle perfumes.

Foolio; Midsummer night's escape,
ignore in peril their happy drape,
explore those transient downy coombes.

For faster than summer's screaming Swifts
hem's lengthen, perfume fades; Autumn's come.

Á Brighid

An Imbolc Hymn to my Bright Lady

Thrice-blessed Brighid
Lady of flame and well
Mistress of the Forge
Midwife to my soul's birth
and death
Bright One, guide me, I beg
Grant me sight
Give me vision
Set fire to my tongue
Let words of praise burn in my heart!
Bring cool water to the aching of my empty mind
and soul
Give work to my hands
Help me fulfill the charges You set me
Bless me, O my Lady
Temper me and quench me
Teach me to speak.

Kat Lady and I, in a recent conversation, figured that Macho Gazpacho deserved a girlfriend; hence, Macha Gazpacha was born.

Macha Gazpacha

1 lb. boneless skinless chicken breast, sauteed in butter or olive oil, and then cooled
24 oz. V8 or similar tomato-based vegetable juice
2 medium tomatoes, chopped
1 small cucumber, chopped finely
1 small zucchini, chopped finely
1 small avocado, chopped and coated in lemon juice
28 oz. chick peas, drained
½ c. Balsamic vinegrette
2 TBSP. fresh basil

Combine all ingredients; mix well. Chill several hours or overnight.
