Prayer for a mature couple

For me:

Patience and acceptance
Love unqualified
Opening to mysterious joy

For you:

Seed of pleasure
Growing desire
Blossom of ecstasy

For the world:

Awareness
Maturity
Peace

A Simple Cross Over Ceremony.

Either standing over the remains or as close to the Death/burial site as possible, Facing WEST and cast a Circle. (You may, if you “knew” the creature, choose one of its favorite “lifetime hangouts”)

Facing WEST, at SUNSET (preferably), make a TRIPLE CLOCK WISE CIRCULAR GESTURE with your right hand towards the Sunset. When your hand reaches the TOP of the Third Circle, then make the AWEN SIGN – These two gestures should flow into one another smoothly, so that they are actually one gesture.

Take the Pentagram Stance as you do the above gesture and say: "Oh Great Goddess (or the power of your choice), Oh Father, Mother, Child of Light – I ask for your blessings, protection, and aid as we help our Friend - Name/Species – cross over into the next Circle of Life."

Pause while still in the Pentagram stance and say: "May your journey to the Blessed Isles be swift and true – NAME or PRECIOUS ONE – and may the Peace, Joy and Love which YOU gave in this Life be Reflected THREE FOLD in your next."

Then, in a comfortable position or the position of your choice, Chant the AWEN (AH-OO-WEN) and visualize friend/creature/etc flowing away from you towards the blessed isles.

When you feel you have finished, give thanks to deity and spirit, unwind the circle and walk away towards the EAST.

perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer.
Let him step to the music he hears,
however measured or far away."
