Let Me Be

Let me be the stone to which you tell all the secrets of your heart and
the singing sword that defends you against all ills.
Let me be the chariot of ancient Irish kings to take you beyond the horizon,
and the spear of the Gods that will fight ‘til death for your honour.
Let me be the wind that lifts you skyward and fans the flames of your inspiration,
and the seed that grows within you into a mighty oak that holds you safely in its boughs.
Let me be the sombre cave to which you retreat in times of deepest sorrow,
and the sturdy staff of ash that you lean on when all your strength has gone.
Let me be the faerie flute that sings with the sacred rhythm of your soul-song,
and the Ether of Spirit that surrounds you in Essence Divine.
Let me be the hymn of the skylark to wake you from your sleep each dawn,
and haunting cry of the owl in her hag-nest to send you to your rest.
Let me be the radiant summer sun that adorns you in a robe of finest gold,
and the silvery light of the moon so that you may always see even in the blackness of night.
Let me be the restless tide that ebbs and flows inside you so your tears may be washed away,
and the wandering lodestar so you may always find your way home.
Let me be the golden harvest so you may enjoy the fruits of your labour,
and the age-old crystal so that you may discover your true worth.
And let me be the healing waters of the spring unfolding that courses through your veins so you might live and be renewed.
Be still, be still,
Let me be the silence so that you may hear
the sound of cosmic whispers that come dancing from my lips.

Eight Bronzewing Pigeons

My messengers from Goddess
Bustling glamorised housewives
And feathery fancymen

With their Cleopatra eyes
Their flash of precious metals
And those powder-grey breasts
Plumped up importantly
They go about their daily chores
In their best clothes

Suddenly a noise!
Five fly, flashing glory of
Greens, golds and coppers
Clatter of wings heavenwards
In sudden noisy deity

Three bow down to earth
And only three plump grey stones
With brightly wary painted eyes
Remain
"Between a man and a horse and a dog lies a secret bond" ~ Icelandic saying

WITHIN EACH CYCLE
- by D.L. Lewis aka Queen of Blossoms

Earth in afternoon offered the body
    to me
    to see
    this grief in green.
Dim cloud tendrils thwarted sun's rays
    and sighed
    and cried
    this loss of Spring.
Winds swirled from above to below
    to clad
    the mad
    blackening veil.
Sunlight and stain,
Shadow and gain,
Peace and pain -
    within each cycle, change.
A riotous orgasm, this.
Dawn shimmies with raven caws while
Destiny rolls down galaxies.
    Bride and Groom
    together they wend
    beginning to end
    to beginning again.

    The Shining Shore

    Waves roll effortlessly
    onto the pebble shore
    whispering sighing
    secrets of the deep.
    Listen closely,
    can you hear?
    Weeping Mermaids
    with broken hearts
    sighing over lost love.
    Hear them beckon,
    join us,
    come join us
    their lonely plea.
    But to answer that call
    contained within
    an ocean of tears
    lies the way of madness.
But my feet heed their call
    And my heart is lost.

    Teach me the truth

    Teach me the truth
So I may be humble in my word,
    Teach me the truth
So I may know it when I’ve heard,
    Teach me the truth
So I may sing it softly like the bird,
    Teach me the truth
So I may plant it back in the Earth.

    Cerridwen

White lady of transformation and death
    Mother of ugly Afagddu
The keeper of the couldron of inspiration
And maker of the magic brew of wisdom.

Adder of herbs for a year and a day
Only to have the three magical drops
    Escape her plans for Afagddu
And fall on the servant boy, Gwion Bach
Who immediately transformed into a magician
    And fled her wrath.

Shapeshifting they both knew how to do
    A hound chasing a rabbit
    An otter pursuing a salmon
A hawk flying after a sparrow
Finally a black hen eating a kernel of wheat.

    Goddess of transformation
With nine months as carrier of the seed
    And mother once again
When she gives birth to Taliesin
The finest poet in the land.

    LUNA'S ESSENCE

The presence of her in the infinite blue of the dark night
Pregnant, with the fullness of a beckoning glow,
A yearning of closeness to this mystical serenity
Wraps my thoughts in a loving hold

The moon, such a perfection in the stillness of twilight,

That which only needs silence to admire the profoundity
Found when the soul quiets; to drink in the luminous
essence she lovingly garnishes for all

Soft, wisping clouds dance now, around her, whispering in
awe, dancing a smoky wave of breath around her warmth

Comfort, calmness, and ancient knowledge seep from the glow
through my skin, and envelop my heart

I have the blessings of the glistening moon, in turn,
I can never relinquish the magic feeling, felt soul-deep,
When I gaze upon the beauty of round Luna in her purest essence.

"Try to understand that Life is only your own reality that you make up. And what reality you make isn't truly real; it's a dramatic play. If you don't like your play, then change the plot, the cast, the script. The only reality is Love. Love created us all, and it sustains us. Love moves and breathes, creates and destroys; and creates again. Love is all, and All is Love."

    The Pagan Way
Morning calls us awake with bright sunshine
With birds singing loud amongst trees of pine
Church bells can be heard far in the distance
Calling the faithful in from natures existence
And on bended knee in their manmade construction
They pray to their deity for heavenly induction

But the sun rises high in summers blue sky
Mother Nature’s call is too hard to deny
To lie in her fields of warm whispering grass
Where wind warmed zephyrs blow unsurpassed
Bees gently buzzing they kiss each flower
Where spiders have spun their gossamer bower

Her cloven hoofed creatures wander the land
The crabs, seals and turtles rest on the sand
A myriad of fishes swim the oceans with ease
Padded foot mammals seem to do as they please
All of creation linked by a symbiotic thread
Trying to live together without fear or dread

No concrete structure for our pagan pursuit
The great mother earth and deep plant root
Working with herb, tree and earth elemental
Thanking the Goddess for her balance so gentle
No bended supplication for the pagan worshiper
Just a promise to be this sacred earth’s keeper

    This Well's Gone Dry

    Postby Fox » 16 Jul 2009, 23:29

    This well's gone dry
    Dust flows with every curse
    With every fruitless try
It goes from bad to worse

    My arm's gone numb
    From rattling the deep
    This well's gone dumb
    It's gone to sleep

    My heart needs drink
    For soul's deep thirst
    My brain can't think
    The pipes have burst

    The handle's cracked
    Can't take the strain
    I'll just lie back
    And pray for rain
    yr pal, Fox

    Turn Away

Take a minute to see the Sun rise
Listen to a bird sing, or watch as it flies
The early morning mist lies on the land
I will show you these things if you'll just take my hand.

Come and enter the deep greenwood
Run with the stag, with the Antlered God
    Shadows of another world
Ride the back of the She Wolf, your dreams unfurled.

I can take your heart to touch all of these things
Come then, come with me to the great stone rings
Hear the call of the ancestors, their voices in the breeze
Shamans drum beats half lost memories that somehow tease.

Turn away from the world of cares and possessions for just one day
Set your heartstrings free; allow your soul to have a say
Look inside to your true inner self; learn to see through your spirits' eye
I promise you magic in Arianrhods Moon, and her song that glitters in velvet night sky.
