A Triad of Samhuinn

Three Blessings of Samhuinn

The Wild Hunt’s coming,
The Cailleach’s calling,
And the ancestor’s honoring.

perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer.
Let him step to the music he hears,

As part of my Beltane ritual I planted wildflower seeds in my garden wishing for a season of wonder and joy. Shortly after the Summer Solstice the first flowers popped up their heads. Whites, soft blues and yellows at first, then soon bolder red and oranges and finally a last splash of purple and pink.

My tiny wildflower patch has given me great joy and a great subject for a series of portraits of each flower as it emerged. This is mosaic made with Flickr Toys mosaicmaker that shows all of them together. To see each flower in detail you may also want to take a peek at my set Beltane Wildflowers http://www.flickr.com/photos/onthecountof23/sets/72157621270680107/

Now it's almost Samhain and my flowers are still standing although I suspect not for much longer. Enjoy! I know I have .....
