2010 IMBOLC/LUGHNASADH RECIPE ENTRIES--WINNER

Apple onion dumplings

To go with Pork casserole or stew
*(Alternate recipe you can put grated cheese to make cheese and onion dumplings)

I cup of S R flour
I egg
Half cup of suit (can be left out)
* I apple chopped fine
I onion chopped fine
I cup of water
And some flour to roll dumplings in

Will make about 8 dumplings depending on size

Takes about 20/30 minutes to cook

Mix the egg in a cup with a one-table spoon of milk

Put flour in basin then add half the cup of apples and half of the onions mix then add the rest of the apples /onions
Mix in the egg in then the water mix until you have dough.

Put some flour on a plate

Take about a tablespoon of dough roll in to balls
Roll in a little flour leave on plate until ready to add to casserole or stew about half an hour before end of cooking time of stew etc, they takes about 20 minuets cook

Or you can deep fry them.
