A Druid Nine-Fold Blessing

Blessed are my feet, which carry me upon this path.
Blessed are my knees, which allow me to bend or stand firm.
Blessed are my hips, which cradle this child, my passion.
Blessed is my heart, which sees with love.
Blessed are my shoulders, which bear these burdens with joy.
Blessed are my hands, which work with strength and gentleness.
Blessed are my lips, which speak with justice and kindness.
Blessed are my eyes, which see the beauty of the world.
Blessed is my mind, which rejoices in knowledge and truth.

By Earth, by Water, by Air, and by Fire:
I purify my body, my mind, my spirit--my whole being.
For the good of all, for the harm of none,
So be it.

This is a nice, quick ritual I like to perform in the shower every morning. Saying each line, I wash the specified body part, rinsing it three times. Then I raise my hands to the running water and recite the last four lines.

For a Staff

i developed this litle ritual just this evening, and thought I'd share it here.(rank beginner, so please be patient :) )

In order to prevent the raw wood of my staff becoming too dry (it's completely untreated apart from a bit of olive oil now and then) I decided a good natural thing to do would be to buff it up with bees wax.

Have altar candles representing the elements lit, cast a cirle before-hand if you will - whatever is right for you.
Take a lump of beeswax and soften it at the first element candle (whichever that is for you - I have learnt that it depends on location and is not hard and fast). As you do so, acknowledge that element.
Rub the softened wax onto the staff, and buff it with a cloth while blessing the staff with the power and wisdom of that element.
Repeat for each of the elements, using whatever invocations and intentions you are accustomed to using to bless your staff.

It's a wonderful way to nurture a relationshop with one's staff and can be repeated as often as needed whenever the staff needs care. I have yet to develop the invocations that will become mine in the end, so at present just focus in intention.
