the house is built of adobe mud-brick from the wyeuro brickery, bound with fine grass. the tiles are rendered with river clay slip, and the wall painted with a home made paint based on an egg-based white wash enhanced with natural mineral pigment found round the farm. the shingles are made of old ply-wood lamina split into strips.
the house incorporates found items and is decorated with small details designed to appeal to gentle spirits who would like a peaceful place to sit and look out on our garden. therefore it contains food offerings, some embroidery to do while you're there, a magazine to read and a nice vase of flowers.
the crystal in the centre keeps it tuned: there's a story with it. imagine the fairy witch imogen, or ceridwen, or other great druid, vastly evolved since the middle ages, laying her hands on her crystal in her magic circle temple and being able to transport herself to this aligned crystal by a magical shift of emphasis. so it's a sort of nexus stone or doorway - well it beats going through fire-places (harry potter style!!!).
