As for the mythological character, she can be sum up to the three words "damsel in distress", who's story was later convert into the legend of St George and the Dragon. Nothing more, nothing less, so I guess that the version of the myth that is known today doesn't give her justice, specially that her name can be understood as to "thinking man" (from greek "andros"- man and "medesthai"- to think).
However this vision of Andromeda does not come from the mythology, but the song of Omega Lithium, in which she is portrait as made of human hand "A juvenile woman's with gorgeous shapes but without a soul" who seeks for revenge because of years in pain that she had to survived. And that's how I wanted to show her. Even if she may be seen as pretty, she tries to hide behind the mask of strangeness and madness, making her psychical pain to be visible (even before her eyes) as the dozen of weird piercings, that makes the "good people" feel uncomfortable even to look at.
