Ode To The "Wind's of Change" (entry)

Ode To The “Wind’s Of Change”

You come to my life day in and day out,
You blow and my life changes directions.
Once again you steer me and I see not where or why.
I glanced once in the direction of love and then,
You blew me into the direction of pain.

You come to my life daily yet leave no present marks,
Except those that you have carved into my heart.
Someday’s you bring joy of life and love,
Other’s you bring strife like none I pray I see again.
You have brought pride of a daughter I cherish so much!

You have brought pain of the lover you stole from my heart.
The seasons follow your tides of in and out, then and now.
Tomorrow you will come once more and change my days,
Tonight you come and change my scenery preparing me,
For tomorrows change of direction that you so choose for my path.

Sometimes you see to it I walk alone.
Yet other times you fill my path with those of liked minds.
Each rise of the sun you show a new day and new change.
Yet Someday’s seem to stand still and I feel, as I do not see you?
But the next day you remind me you were there as you have been through out time.

You have traveled the years of my life span as friend, foe and guide.
You have seen me from times of diapers to now hair of silver.
Will you too see me to my days of senility,
As you have seen me to clarity and stillness of the mind?
And as Awen spoke to us in my heart’s song,
You blew my faith along that path.
I count now 42 years of days and nights you have come to me.

A constant companion you have been,
In this life and pray so in the next life to come.
Yet never have I seen one so true and loving as you,
And though no lover could be as true as you have been.
I still pray to the Great Spirit’s I will be blessed with the gift of another love,
To carry with me as you blow me into new days and nights.

You have seen me at my rawest.
You have seen me at my best.
You have seen me at my worst.
You have seen me through each life.
Yet still you come every day faithfully.

Love has never known such a faithful and honorable friend as you.
Day by day you show me a different way I may go.
Day by day you change the seasons ever so slow.
Year by year you watched and helped me to grow.
Year by year you bring me closer to knowing who you and what you are.

“One day” you say I will know the face of the “Wind’s of Change”.
“One day” you say I will recognize you as that more than my friend, companion or foe.
“One day” you say… all one day shall know you in their hearts.
“One day” you say it will be my turn to be that which brings change.
“One day” I pray we will dance one last dance to bring in the spring again.

For no one has ever been such a true and constant companion,
As that as the “Wind’s of change” has ever been for me.
My friend, My teacher, My lover, My muse, My melody, My song,
Each day you changed to that, that I needed the most.
I pray one day to find a lover as fair and compassionate as you have been.

For he is the “Wind’s of Change” and I his faithful follower.
Together each day we have learned to work hand in hand.
Together we can spread beauty upon the land.
Together we will walk those many paths…
And many I thought I had walked alone and now know,
You were there at my side ever so faithful as companion and guide.

I pray you walk my tomorrows with me as you have done in my past.
I pray to see your gifts of change upon this our lands each and every day.
As I walk upon our Great Mother and I now can see that,
You two have been waltzing across time with me.
You as the melody and our Great Mother as the symphony and
I the notes you both strum upon the liar.

As I walk my path, I now too see you have walked with many
Deities as you have done so with so many of the human kind.
I pray with each new tomorrow that sight does not evade me,
So I may see your true heart upon that of my life,
And that of our Great Mother Earth.

Your gift of a new way have given hope,
To those who have been seeking each day.
Your gifts of a new day rise with our Father Sun.
Your gift of night brings the dance of the Celestial Being’s.
Your gift of change promises us that nothing stays the same.
So your gift of change means that pain and sorrow hold no gains for long.

You have walked with humankind through Time’s finest of lines,
Changing us from day to day and from life to life.
Humans climbed out of the tree and you were our guide down.
Humans kindled fire and you helped us,
Celebrate with a new feast of the beast.
Human kind took to the air and you were ever still there.

History speaks your name ore again… and again.
Through wars of the Hell’s Fires to peace of the lands.
Through humankind’s own failings and aiding to our strength’s.
You sat upon the shoulders of many a soldiers,
As conscious at times but always reminding us,
The only victor of war is “Death”!

For now I can see you and I think I know your name?
For you are the one we call Father Time!
You are that which never stays the same,
You are the “Wind’s of Change”!
You are the mystery and we the mysterious of nature.
Now I see you my Dearest of Beings you are the heart and souls of that,
Which claims life and that of those who have claimed ownership of death.
For you are connected to every tide and every rising of the moon
You are the sun and the wind,
You are the moon and the sea,
You are stars and the earth,
You are the guide and the fire,
You are the many and the one,
You are the creator and destroyer,
You are lover and hater,
You are life and death.

You have had many names though out time
But two of many which I call you by…
Friend and life long Companion.

Another nice one, Morningstar.

A final comment for a final poem (at least for this competition): wonderful.
