Entry - Loki Dreams Revenge

Postby Jeb » 21 Dec 2004, 15:33

Entry

I've been away for a while but I'm back just in time for Eisteddfod fun! Woohoo! Hello? Anyone coming out to play?

Loki Dreams Revenge

Image

An imagining of what Loki might at this very moment be wishing upon his enemies, as he sits, bound up in his son's entrails, awaiting Ragnarok.

A bit dark, sorry.

Thanks Jeb, much appreciated, I love the style of Art you are working with, but my next entry, not this post, is an untouched photograph.

For those wondering about MorningStars comment, I did 2 versions of it heres the other just for comparison not competition

Image.

I took 5 photos of Dinas Bran , from distant to close up and in all of them is the Raven thats visible in the mid right hand side - all face the same direction and all are in almost the same position, yet I spent at least 5 minutes or more taking the series of shots. Hmmmmm, Bran?

Druids Angel

As I said above an untouched Photograph ( except border, clipping and footer note). Taken In September at the Druids Circle on Penmaenmowr, and playing with the settings, I got this wonderful Image....

Oh ye gods! I hope I don't have to limit myself to voting for only one piece you two... what would you come up with working together? I know I'd want it as custom work on my electric bass!

OK so we are allowed 3, so Here is no 3.

I'll hold no shame in saying this is a collection of stills taken from a Video, by Finnish Rockers, Nightwish, the song is called Nemo and has nothing whatsoever to do with that animated fish. I went through the Video frame x frame to get the images I wanted.

The next step was to increase the number of pixels from 96/inch to 600/inch. so to make the images larger, without getting nasty rough/jagged edges.

Then Choose the base image, which has been watching you all for sometime now, and layer upwards from there, making transparent layers....then finally squashing all the layers onto one. Then bring back down the number of Pixels to 96/inch, for screen rendering, and the result is......

Image a small 378 x 62 pixel banner - created for my signature section

or so you can see more detail
