Twain profile -- entry

Postby Azrienoch » 20 Mar 2005, 03:20

I did this with a number two pencil, the original being 18" x 24". I had to photograph it, because I couldn't find a scanner large enough, and so I made some major touch-ups using Photoshop.

Hi Az,

For whatever reason, your image was invisible to me without me monkeying with it in this quote to make the link visible.

Nice!

Guardian Knot... ENTRY

Postby Laurelin Tauregwaithalion » 21 Mar 2005, 17:06

Officially, this isn't finished. I'm working on the painting, but I don't have much time, so I figured I'd enter the preliminary sketch just to keep myself from backing out later. If I finish the painting before the competition voting starts, I'll post a picture of it here. In the meantime...

The scan discolored it a little, but I don't really want to adjust it.

Hope everyone likes it.

You guys are very kind. Thanks a million. I just wish I had the time to finish my painting of that knotwork before voting starts so I could show you a more final looking draft. What with my current schedule, I'm doubtful that I'll have the time. It's incredibly cool that everyone likes the knotwork, though. *blushes* You guys are great at making a gal feel good. : ) I'm particularly fond of your Schneeman, Maia! And Az, I really appreciate your use of shading in the Sketch you entered. You really see in depth. Everyone's done such a great job! I feel proud to be in such company.

Anime -- Entry ; Skull -- Entry

Postby wolfsong » 13 Apr 2005, 17:39

The following are two entries on one file.

First, a character I sketched while at work (it's a bit wrinkled-looking because my manager was in a pissy mood, and crumpled it and tossed it ... we were dead, I promise!), and I'm thinking of writing a story to go with her.
Ink and colored pencils.

Second, a graphite drawing I did in a drawing class last semester. We started with a sheet of paper, covered it with powered graphite and then used erasers and graphite pencils to make the image. There are like three places I used white graphite pencil for major highlights.
