All going well and thank to Kernos this should give you access to one of my hymns. This was crafted for Epona, my patron Goddess. I hope you enjoy it.

Javali Lusitano wrote:Greetings to all,

I would like to participate here, for the first time, with two original musical compositions, performed by the group I belong to, named Alexandre Gabriel, Gonçalo do Carmo & Avalon Ensemble in which I'm also the harpist.

The first is named "O Fogo de Bel" which, in english, means: "Bel's Fire".

The second is "O Espírito da Floresta": "The Spirit of the Forest".

The files are in the RealMedia format, I hope it works for everyone.

If you would like to know our project better, feel free to visit our website (also in english): http://www.aggc.no.sapo.pt

Hope you like it.

Wow! This is great stuff. It's a slow download, even with broadband, but it's worth it!

Beautiful, Javali!

Blessings,

Song for Spring - Entry

Postby Czeski » 10 Apr 2005, 15:32

Song for Spring - Entry

This is my work for Beltane Competition.

This song is in Polish version (at last, I'm Polish), but below you can read translation of lyrics. Enjoy!

http://druidry.org/movies/song_for_Spring.mp3

Song for Spring

You first showed me the Moon
Great, golden, among the stars
Today you came to us again
Clothed in snowdrop petals

Whiteness all the way to the horizon
Dark clouds gliding through the sky
I light a candle and place it in the window
With hope waiting for you.

Soon the floes will run on the rivers.
The Sun will warm frozen ground
You will dance with flowers in your hair
You will spread your green mantle

Birds will sing for you in forests and plains
Woodpecker's drum will fill a wood
Under great, golden kolacz* of the Moon
Fires of May will burn again.
______
*- kolacz [cowatch] - Old Slavian kind of cake. Big, sweet and round like - exactly - a moon. :)

I am finally starting to listen to these, and I would like to say great work Potia. This song reminds me a lot of Rohan from Lord of the Rings, and reminds me of the voice of Eowyn. Good work

Very moving, Czeski!. And especially for me, since I have not heard Polish sung since I was a little boy. Brought back memories of things I had not thought of for a long time. Thank you for that.
