British Gov proposes to sell woodlands - petitions underway

Hi,

I found out about this this through a Facebook friend. I know it doesn't make sense but when I first read this it felt like a personal attack, even before I realised that potentially included is the old-growth Worcestershire Wyre Forest where we used to go for long, happy walks when I was a kid. I'm hoping we can all stop this right in it's tracks

ALL LOVERS OF BRITISH WOODLAND PLS PAY ATTENTION: the UK government plans biggest sale of public land for nearly 60 years - 150.000 hectares of forest to be sold within 3 years. Pls join hands with our trees and sign the petition and pass on the message:

Thanks for posting this. I was about to make a post about the same petition myself, when I saw yours.

Bit ironic isn't it really... the Conservatives changed their logo a while back to a rather fuzzy looking oak tree, instead of a torch. Maybe they should rebrand with a stump next time, or a picture of a golf course?
