Tree Planting in CT

Postby Ryan LeClair » 06 May 2011, 08:22

Hello there,

Anyone from the U.S., specifically the New England area? I would like to plant some trees, and it would be fun to have others to join in :)
Maybe we can plant trees that are native to the US but have UK analogs -- white oak for common oak, American Holly for English holly, etc, American Beech for European beech, etc...that way we can pay respect to the old Celtic tribes in a new age fashion!
This idea is in its infancy, so nothing is definite yet...but I would really like to do this and meet up with some others who consider nature sacred.

Don't worry James, if this thing gets going we'll get some Haw's too! And maybe some Taxus canandensis...because we need an English Yew analog, as English Yews are quite sacred, aren't they?
