Inspired and awake

Postby Doc » 28 Aug 2012, 09:21

Hi all,

been a long time since I've wandered on my Druid path. Recently life (Awen ?) has led me back to it.

Spent yesterday walking amongst the hills and woods a short distance from where I live and felt a profound sense of connection and peace. Something I've not felt in years. I had a real experience of "waking up", as I've spent last few years dozzing to be honest.

Now to dig out my Bardic grade course and start the journey once more.

Light, Love and Peace

Glad to hear that the voice of nature is calling you again...
Most dear is fire to the sons of men,
most sweet the sight of the sun;
good is health if one can but keep it,
and to live a life without shame. (Havamal 68)

Hi Doc,

Don't worry you're not alone - your circumstances are identical to mine and I have recently gone back to my introductory pack and then bought the full course. There was something that happened when I listened that rang true to me and helped me awaken once more. I'd heartily recommend listening to the podcasts as well, :where: the mix of music, interview and subject lectures has been very helpful. It has been a long time since I have felt quite so awake and content - something that Druidry offers by the bucket load IMHO.

Good luck with your journey

My favourite so far has been the lecture given in the fourth podcast on the Horned God (I'm only up to 5 so far - a long way to go and hope that the quality remains!). Amazing stuff that comes from OBOD and its members, really feel lucky to have found such a talented and lovely bunch with whom I share some beliefs - I say some, we're still a diverse bunch :-)
