Full Moons

Postby Blue-Domk » 26 Dec 2012, 02:46

As I relate more with the OBOD philosophy than any other neo-pagan path, I was wondering what your thoughts are on the names and meanings of the full moons. For example, I found this link, (http://everythingunderthemoon.net/forum ... t7789.html) which I found helpful. What are your thoughts my friends? I would love to hear the differing views, as it would only help in my spiritual journey... :loony: :brnbear: :panther: :puppy: :loony:

Personally I feel if you are working with your immediate environment as the centre of your practise then your connection and expression of the moons would / should be shaped by this...

Emma Restall Orr freely offers 'A Perennial Course in Living Druidry' - via the Druid Network http://druidnetwork.org/en/learning/cou ... /perennial - which is shaped around the moon cycles, each one offered a name through her personal experience and the suggestion to create your own.

The website you offer is interesting but I notice they use the word 'Celtic' and it makes me think how generic a term it is, it offers what appears to be an english definition but no suggestion of what language or region it originates from.
