The Question of questions or something similar

This Forum is dedicated to the Druidic search for the underlying meaning of life, the unifying nature of our common humanity, and our interconnectedness in the search for truth.
Forum rules
This forum is dedicated to the quest of our common humanity, especially in the exploration of the underlying commonalities of the human condition, the similarities between faith systems and philosophies, and the Druidic search for all that unifies rather than divides. This is a public forum, viewable by guests as well as members, and is cataloged by most search engines.

The term "Common Quest" does not mean that ultimately there is one faith system, or one lowest common denominator. It means that we are all trying to do the same thing: find the meaning of our existence in this common humanity that we share.

One rule for discussions here: Honor One Another.

You're either enlightened or read that in a text book...

Shouldn't you have put a spoiler warning?

didn't read nothing, but feel very happy after I came up with this answer!

It doesnt' help if you just read the answer though, you have to find it in yourself, so just keep going.... :D
and thank you for bringing up this question just in the perfect moment

I'll think of an other warning - what would you suggest?

I had a somewhat spiritual 'lightbulb' moment last weekend, when I got my head around the concept that 'I am not my Ego', and was actually able to see my Ego as a dark grey, amorphous blob which concurrently looked like how I percieve myself in the mirror and was formed according to society's demands, expectations and principles.

Being able to separate the 'percieved' you from your actual self is quite an achievement, given how deeply ingrained we can often become in meeting expectations of others, rather than just being ourselves.
