elixir

deep in the sacred centre of my genesis
the root of my craeb the fountain of my spirit
the loud-crying stone of my validation
the spark of my flame’s ignition
there are my many destinies, infinite and eternal like seeds

sometimes I feel I could reach
through the marbled liquid layers of my years
to the first cry of my life
the first beat of my foetal heart,
the wild radiant moment of the fusion of gametes
the weaving of worlds in the twist of their nwyfre

and in the palm of my hand,
cherish, cradle and nurture the seed,
sheltering the incubation of my own genesis
from the union of the many sainted angels
whose lives have spun the fibres of my being.

when I feel around the pain and the joy of my life
the cradling palm, perhaps the sweet elixir
that entrances me anew to life’s enchantment
drips from the full voluptuous fruits
of a ripe and radiant destiny yet to be conceived

and still I follow its gleam, rapt in a ray of in hope.

Personal Universe

Firm as mountains wreathed in clouds
I stood, my roots dug deep.
I threw my limbs high to the North
As an oak to wind's ecstasy.
From this, the Earth does nourish.

Just as trees sway with the breeze,
So too my soul contorted.
My face greeted gusts like grass so kind
As air seduced my heart.
From this, the Air inspires.

My spirit began to broil and churn
As fire enveloped my core.
I peered and fears disintegrated.
Infernos divined the dark.
From this, the Fire protects.

Flashes of cold as rain drops cascade.
The pure tears send sweet shivers
Coursing over flesh like streams serenading
Of rebirth deep within.
From this, the Water cleanses.

And in my own universe, I beg and pray a while
and hope the God and Goddess will look down, help me, and smile.
"The wise man must be patient, must never be too hot-hearted, nor too hasty of speech, nor too fearful, nor too glad, nor too greedy for wealth, nor ever too eager to boast before he has thought clearly." -from The Wanderer

"Bear armor tough as dragon scales
Bid armies fit to clash with gods,
We all lie down when Morgan calls."

Rekindled

we share a magical existence
but so many slumber
unaware of the synchronicity surrounding us
asleep in perpetual ignorance
of the wonder all around

do you gaze upon a periwinkle sky
and see the end of another day
or perhaps, just maybe
glimpse in that expanding twilight
a moment of enchantment?

can you sit in seeming silence
and say you are at peace?
does the quiet unsettle you
or do you take comfort in listening
to the voice of Nature
to the wind and river’s whisper
and the soft cthonic rumble?

what condition do you see
when you gaze upon a snow-covered hill?
do you see a dead and barren land
waiting to be revived
or is that alabaster vista to you
alive with sacred promise?

it is within our power
to observe the magic of this world
to witness it with all our senses
we need only kindle the fires within us
and become conscious
of the sacred and magical world

Dance

Dance a weeping willow,
Mirrored in the sacred pool.
Dance spring`s turfy memories
Of sun and melting snow.

Dance the sun at dawn,
A bronze edged heat
On the steep Tor road;
Then dance the ripening corn.

Dance the hurricane!
Let the lightning bless you,
Let the rain wash you
And thunder speak your praise;

And in the darkest days
When all seems lost,
Dance the child of hope,
And let your footprints melt the frost.
The lives of three men, The life of an eagle; The lives of three eagles, The life of a yew; The lives of three yews, The length of an age. Nennius
The presence of those seeking the truth is infinitely to be preferred to those that think they've found it. Pratchett

Brilliant Madness

I am not perfect. I am not prefabricated.
I am not a facsimile.
I am not
carbon copied,
devoid of deviation.
No.
I am deviant.
I am composed of impulse.
I am magic incarnate.
Imperfect energy
which explodes in passionate
displays.
I am alien ideas
and contrary thoughts.
Incongruous moods hurling
lingual spears.
I am the deafening
roar
and the imperfect silence
of night.
I am corrupt.
I am capable of brilliant madness.
I crumble articulately.
I astound
and offend, and scandalize
just as much
as I delight, and impress
and arouse.

"The Old Ways"
by Trey Ward

Through the mists you call me
Speaking to my heart
Igniting my imagination
Pointing the way to go

The embers burn
Air churns
Voices call
Our souls yearn
All hold hands
Woman to man
From Spring to Fall
United with the land

I sense You
Pointing from the circle
To Somewhere in the distance
Somewhere green
Somewhere warm
Somewhere peacefull
All is as it should be

Winter's Moon

So cold, so cold down there.
I arise from the depths of the earth
To bring you light in your darkness,
To bring illumination to the depths of your soul.

Intricate patterns from ancient collisions
Scar my face, which you behold.
A mirror of your life:
For without your scars
You would not be
Who you are.

Dare

i dare you to dream, to be the dream of your heart and soul
i dare you to open doors slammed shut by time and hurt and cold
i dare you to be

it’s not in the woods that you are set free
not in the soaring skies or in the vast and endless oceans
it’s in the nowhere that your dreams turn into everywhere
there you become what you are meant to

i dare you to dive into the murky depths and seek out the golden ring
i dare you to leap without looking
to race through dark forests in the chill of night and not care where you’re going
or where you’ve been.

dream. love. be.
i dare you.

“Fel y goeden” - Like the tree

Be still, my child,
Earth lethargic and dead;
Time to gather strength,
For the better times ahead.

Burst forth, my child,
Awakening from your trance;
Time to show your promise
Your leaves grow and dance.

Bask in the warmth, my child,
Fertile soils incubate new life;
Time to be resplendent
Your fruit and splendor rife.

Treasure the moment, my child,
The wind’s caress so light;
Time to embrace renewal,
The days will soon be night.

Be still, my child…
