Bardic Directory

Postby Explorer » 03 Aug 2007, 07:17

After listening to the eistedfodd and to Radio Druid I've been wondering.
Could we set up a (sticky) 'Bardic Directory' thread somewhere where all our songs are listed per artist as clickable mp3's? (so we can easily compile our own playlists of our favorite artists).

I would suggest that there would be no discussion in that thread, just lists of songs. One post per artist containing links to their songs, and the artists 'edit' their post to add new songs rather than making a new post. That way songs would be easier to find.

Explorer, I think that's a great idea! :o

Might we perhaps put the Directory in the Music forum?  Something that's always bothered me about the Music forum is that when actual music shows up amidst all the other posts about music it gets lost at sea and is hard to find again.  It would make the Music forum more akin to the Poetry forum, where the musicians share their work with others in the same way that the poets do.

I'm all for it!

I personally think this would be a great idea.

Makes perfect sense to me. Will some of you hunt them down and provide links here so one of us green or orange types can do the thread-moving?

Aye aye!
I've started a thread in 'Music'.

Feel free to edit my initial post, or to make it a post by one of the board officials. Lets go hunt for some bards! :hunt:

I have set it as a "sticky" so it will remain on top and also echoed your request to maintain it as directory.

edit: too many as!

I saw it, cool, thank you.

I have pm-ed all the Eistedfodd entrants that I could find (12 people). Also of the 'historical eisteddfods', but not all eisteddfods are there. So I guess it's now just sit back and see what happens ;-). Thank you for supporting the idea!
