Celtic Penny Whistle

Postby Reyna » 15 Oct 2011, 05:39

Hi everyone,

My hubby just came back from a business trip to Dublin and brought me a penny whistle. It is very cool and has a lovely sound but I have no idea how to play it. Any tips, music sheets, advice?
Let love drive you, guide you, burn in you.

This is a nice tutorial, and it has links to other sites and resources too:

I love the penny whistle! I've collected quite an assortment, starting with a Feadog that I picked up in Ireland during a visit many years ago.

My favorite website on the instrument is "Chiff and Fipple" -- it's founder Dale Wisely has quite a sense of humor, which really comes through on the website. Check it out at http://www.chiffandfipple.com/.
