Thank you for playing Enaid with their song Spirit of Excalibur! It's beautifull!

I hope Jim Faupel gives permission too. His voice is beautifull!

I will keep the playlist until they pass the new law...might take months...still not sure how it effects internet radio...but in the meantime, send me home grown druid audio files!

I've been listening ever since I read about Radio Druid - Love it!! Now if I can just figure out a way to hook up the computer to my stereo speakers I will be totally happy - I've been wearing out the few Druid CD's that I own so now I can listen to lots of new stuff - thanks so much Ambariius, it's been so good of you to put something like this together and I for one fully appreciate all the time and efforts you have put into it. Blessinsgs, Crone Mama (BTW, I listen from New Zealand)

Canada is about to enact new copyright legislation that heavily favours the record industry and could potentially open hobbiests such as myself to litigation. While internet radio is a gray area in the legislation, my reasearch shows that I may be at risk if I continue to broadcast commercial music.

So screw em'.

Starting ASAP, I am going to pull all the commercial music from Radio Druid and just play stuff by OBODies and others who have given me permission to play their songs.

This will mean my playlist loop will drop from about 26 hours to about 2, but hopefully some more druid-types will send me some material (songs/poems/spoken word/commentary/interviews with your cat) and I can start to build up the list again.

This is a good thing...Fleetwood Mac gets enough airplay, Jack Sharpe does not, so if you have something you want to air and have dozens of people a day hear you...PM me!

Dont Worry about Kickintheeyes's Song "Hurricane". They are enjoying the thought of getting the extra free publicity from their Song being played on Radio Druid.

Oh, you are already cognisant of Kickintheeye liking their tune being played on Radio Druid.

Have you heard anything from Tom Lawson as to whether or not he minds his tune "Such A Beautiful Tree" being played on Druid Radio???

Yea, "In The Trees" by Nico the Explorer is a great song. Have it playing on "heavy rotation".

Haven't heard from Lawson....

Anyone out there want to do audio reports/reviews of Cds/movies/pagan retreats/opinions and the like?

How about reading poetry (Eiseddfod winners maby) between the songs that are played? If I win with my Anam Cara poem I can record it and mail it to you!

Is it allowed to sing someone elses song, record that and broadcast that on RadioDruid? Or do you still have to pay for that then? Otherwise I will sing this great song about The Morrighan.

Radio Druid is going on vacation for a week....lovely road trip to Cape Breton....17 hours in the car....one kid going, one kid staying back to attend summer school (the one that kept turning off Radio Druid...failed science....)...we have 20 hours of audio books to listen too....can't get good radio for 2/3rds of the trip. .. looking forward to sailing to the whales and recording some gaelic music, if I get the timing of my trip right. They have a gaelic music society an hour or so from my parents place that hosts a bi-weekly "milling frolic" at the fire hall and they sing the old gaelic songs in the round....most haunting thing you could ever hear. I am meaning to record it someday, but my trips never coincide...if I get it, I will play it on Radio Druid.

Anywho, I am shutting 'er down for a week...prepare your cat, KNR....

Hope everyone is having a good summer.

Domo Arigato for letting us know. For a second there, I thought the new regulations may have shut you down.

I believe Radio Druid is currently off air for a short time, but I'm sure Ambariius will inform us when it's back.
