fedelmia -- You are a true survivor!

I'm sure your three wonderfully-monikered felines bring you much joy, but I know how maddening they can be! Sometimes it must feel like you have three extra kids -- ones who don't do what you tell them to!

I have just become the proud parent of 2 Huskies.
They came from the local Dogs trust where they had been since October 06.
They are 6 years old and brothers.
One is white (blizzard) the other is black and white (beloq).

Oh i also have 4 goldfish supposed to belong to the kids but im the one that feeds and cleans them.

Currently, we don't have any pets. :(  I miss my cats, but since we had to move into and apartment, they had to be rehomed. We used to have many, many kitties-- I think our max was 17 at once-- when we fostered kittens for the Humane Society. I've had comparatively few dogs, although I had the *best* husky in the whole wide world who ever lived! He died of bone cancer-- it will be four years ago in June. Sigh.

What kind of pets do you have?

Postby Inky Butterflies » 17 Apr 2007, 12:39

I have :
2 cats and 1 kitten,  2 females and 1 male
2 rabbits, 1 male and 1 female
* I love watching my bunnies eat dandylions...it's very zen-like!
2 guinea pigs, 1 male and 1 female
* guinea pigs love dandylions too and they become very vocal if the dandylions arrive late!
1 desert rat
* Likes dandylions too! My Gerbil's favourite hobby is to chew things!
aproxiamately 24 tropical fish
* They don't eat dandylions but they sure are pretty!
I also feed the birds in my backyard and a mr and mrs cardinal stop by for a meal now and then.
Thanks for doing this pole. It's nice to see all the different species that people are attached to.
Caring and loving animals help human beings to become better people, don't you think?

Inky -- I love your avatar!

And, yes. Most decidedly caring for animals makes us better people. I have learned lots of patience and gratitude from Riley (a canine species).

You have lots of "nibblers." What do you feel all of them?

What I feed my nibblers...

Postby Inky Butterflies » 18 Apr 2007, 12:02

Hi Twig,
I love your avatar too. It's very pretty. I love birds. I also think your screen name is cute too.
I feed my little nibblers many yummy things. Dandylions, Kale, the odd carrot for dessert, fruit for the guinea pigs etc. Pellets and hay are also a daily requirement for these critters.
Good luck with your pooch... I would have a dog too but there is no space for 1 right now.
Thanks for replying and take care.

I love all creatures, great and small and personally, they are all great to me, even spiders.  I don't have any pet spiders but I do make a point of relocating house spiders to more suitable locals.  I was blessed by the presence of a German Short Haired Pointer for thirteen years.  She was friend to two cats and also a friend to all.
Now, we live with two male cats, one is furry and thinks he is a dog and who comes to the name of Nimrod.  The other cat is named Wolfie, after Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.  Wolfie is a lighter thief and he also loves to be chased.
We also have an aquarium that is stocked with plants for the fish to enjoy.  The aquarium has twenty fish. There are four Pristella tetras, four Rummy Nose tetras, three gold tetras, two Emperor tetras(one male, one female), two pork chop tetras, three cat fish (all different kinds),and two algae eaters.
My house is also full of planted pets (the kind you water).EB. :old:

   ..let's say they help me to prepare every meal yes.. that is stealing fruits and vegetables and spreading them all over the place...then laughing at me afterwards  :D . Greys are very much like cobolds..I LOVE their humor and wit although sometimes everyday life with them is very exhausting (just like with kids I suppose).

I have two lesbian guinea pigs; Sam and Moos.
One diabetic cat (which means I have to inject him with insuline every morning and evening on fixed hours  :-( ) and I have one rabbit which I found in the water when she was still a baby. She was too far from the bank so I couldn't reach her, but when I told her to come closer so I could get her out, she actually came swimming towards me - smart little thing. Since the bank was very steep I had to lie down on my stomach but still I couldn't reach her - I told her to go to the left...and again she did. That enabled me to grab her by the hair with my middle and index finger and pull her up. I took her to my grandmother (I was going there when I saw her) where she turned out to be in shock so I kept her warm in a towel and after a while fed her with bread soaked in milk. Me and my grandmother spend the whole day with the little rabbit.
It was the last time I saw my grandmother, since a few days later she suddenly died. The rabbit is still with me and became four this year. She's still earily smart and seems to understand every word I say.

One dog, two cats and two chinchillas :D
Plan on getting another cat in the near future, cause my little one (D'Artagnan, you can see him on my Avatar) is so very playfull and friendly, but our diva Sushi is a little miss grumpy and won't play with him, she prefers her lap time

I've got three beautiful cats (and a garden which is frequented or inhabited by loads of frogs, ducks, mice, butterflies, bumblebees, bees, flies, musquitoes, and all kinds of birds, but those aren't my pets, more 'playmates' for my pets, poor things  :swoon: )

Here are the three of them enjoying our bed:
