Help ID roo and hen?

I have a mixed flock, very few of them are pure breeds so trying to ID them is a bit difficult, especially as I don't know the official names of many of the traits (comb size and shape, feather colouring etc).

I've already shared these images with a couple of chicken message board but thought I might ask for help here too.

First is this hen, we've called Moby Dick, probably one of the few that comes any where near being a proper breed:



Then there's our cockerel called Raven, I don't think he is pure bred but he still looks "distinctive":

Nice to see your happy healthy chickens. I am not sure about your rooster except maybe he is part Barnvelder? If your little orange girl was here in Oz I would guess that she is a hybrid layer, probably a Hyline Silver Brown. Maybe you have hylines where you are as well?

Your cockerel looks like he has a bit of Maran in him, especially around the breast but the neck is a bit dark, maybe a cross between two strains of maran?

The hens look a lot like Buff Orpingtons, with the small combs and pale feathers but there are a lot of similar looking crosses.

Damn, I said I wasn't going to get any more chucks, I now have a price on some P-O-L Derbyshire Redcaps and a dilemma...do I discuss it with the family first or when the chucks arrive?

Whilst the birds in the pics are gorgeous, they all look to be hybrids to me, and not just crossbreeds of two pure bred parents. Therefore, it is virtually impossible to tell which pure breeds will have been used somewhere back in their ancestry. Egg colour in hybrids though can be just as much an indicator if not more of phenotype in birds - as hybrids can show recessive traits and look quite different to their pure breed ancestors.
The nearest I could suggest for the buff female, is that she may just possibly have some Buff Plymouth Rock genes in her. If very much doubt there is some Orpington in her - when crossed they tend to pass on the heavy set build of their heavy breed. Your little lady looks more delicate in build to me for that.
As for Raven, possibly look at the Ancona for some of his traits?
As you are in Spain, then maybe it would be good to look at your local breeds and those of Mediterranean origins?
