I'm volunteering 5-15 hours a week at Hueston Woods Nature Center (a state park in Ohio, USA), and one of the animals I work with and take care of is a bobcat. Immediately when I started volunteering, he would come up and observe me, since it was his area and I was the new intruder. After a few days he really got used to me, and started to interact with me. He'd rub up against the cage when I walk by and let me pet him. I'd sit next to his cage and he would walk as close as he could and sit with me. It's truly amazing that he is like a friend to me. I can definitely feel a bond between me and him.
