Thanks, Crow. The name comes from my role as an IT Trainer - especially teaching nervous adults how to use a PC. I tell them that I'm the Desktop Hippie because I promote peace and harmony with your computer. Man.  :puter:  :)

Hi everyone, I’m Heather.

I am 26 and currently living in Kentucky.  I’ve been here for 2 years and am in nursing school.  I like to travel and have lived in many different places including Oregon, Alaska, Idaho, Yellowstone National Park, and Tennessee.  Oregon and Alaska are my favorite places; love the mountains, and the trees there.  I get very home sick for the mountains some days, but Kentucky is beautiful in its own right.

Hi,

I'm Maulbeere, I'm 34 and live in New Jersey, US, although I'm still British last I checked :-)

I come to Druidry as a Qi Healer and Qigong practitioner. I've read a few things written by or related to Druids and Druidry, and the path has always interested me. I'm generally a seeker and would love to study as an Ovate, being particularly interested in developing my healing skills. I'm looking to attend herbalism and acupuncture courses where I live withing a couple of years or so, and my dream is to teach Qi Healing to others someday.

peace and love to all :-)

Postby Corwinna » 06 May 2007, 10:03

Hi everyone,

Yesterday I thought I'd wanted to join this message board!
On the internet I'm known as Corwinna, meaning friend of the raven. My real name is Pauline, I'm 35 years old and live in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

I enjoy lots of things like music, walking, nature, shamanism, Reiki, spirituality, reading and have been interested in druidry for quite some time, although not sure yet it it's my path.

Recently I've started the harp and I got my lovely 30s strings as a present from my fiancé! I've attended a workshop on harp therapy and given the chance will do the course in the coming years.

Having this harp and my harplessons, combined with my interest in (sound) healing and my love for folk music, especially Celtic and Scandinavian, made me feel like a bard somehow!

That's why I joined, to find out if the Bard's path indeed could be my path and to learn from other people who all follow their own path.

I've been reading somewhat yesterday and I like it here! :applause:

Whoa, 85 pages on this thread!

Well, I'm Pencil and I'm new here.  I'm 33, happily married for 10 years to the best man on planet Earth and momma to a bunch of previously unwanted animals, many with special needs.

I'm in Connecticut, USA, but am not a native.  My folks are from New Jersey and I was born in Germany, so I don't quite fit in anywhere.

I have been a member of OBOD for about 5 years, now, and am an Ovate.

I'm not great with computers, but I am making an effort.  Desktop Hippie; you remind me so much of my favorite aunt, she's also a hippie working with computers!  :peace:

Anyway, it's very good to meet you all!

Greetings and Welcome Pencil!
Lots of folks are 'transplants'. (I'm not really a Native Texan, I'm from California)
But as they say:  "Bloom where you’re planted."
So find yourself to a comfy place to 'take root', and enjoy your stay!

Peace and Blessings,

I’m Dixyane, live at the moment in Geneva (Switzerland), but will move to Castelbar (Ireland) on the 29th of May. Hourra!!!
I’m a 31 y.o female and OBOD bard novice from few month ago, but I’m Pagan from many year already.
Unfortunately, begging of this year a lot of thing has happened and I had not a lot of time to studies and have may month late now. But I hope to catch up as soon I’m in Ireland.
Happy to meet you here…
