OK,
I've posted in several threads, and contacted some of you directly (You know who you are   ), but I have neglected to formally introduce myself: I'm 53, never been particularly religious, but I do believe in a higher being, I just can't find him/her in a building built by humans.

I do find him/her sitting quietly in the woods,
or blowing the clouds to wisps,
or in the glory of a beautiful sunset.

I have plans to meet some local members for a bite (to eat, not each other   ) this weekend, I suspect that might entice me to formally enroll.

Mean while, let's relax, don't worry, and have a homebrew:
(I'll even brew it for all of us :yay: )

My name is Aine Caitlin.   My profile information is correct so you can see my age and from where I hale.  I have been solitary Wicca for many years and have been in the OBOD since 2005.  I am now an Ovate and have done many studies in plant lore and grow a garden regularly as well as having many plants and herbs inside my home.  During the Bardic Grade I became very inspired to begin again in the Arts. :cloud9:   As a child, I tried my hand at painting and other 3 dimensional media such as ceramics, etc.  I threw away everything I made and never tried again, :gloomy:  even though some of my ceramics were quite good.  Now I have started painting and trying out other arts in various degrees; all due to the inspiration & :poof:  muse in the Bardic Grade.  I would love to hear from friends abroad, especially Ireland, Scotland, and Australia, from which my people hale. My desire is to go abroad and live in peace and quiet solitude as one with nature :hiya: .  Hey, I don't know how you get those beer pics, but have one on me!!!
Blessings of Light, Aine /|\

Greetings and Welcome Wintercat!

To find the 'beer stash' and other nifty emoticons, just choose 'view more Emoticons' to the left of the reply box, under the emoticons shown.  A pop-up box will open with lots more emoticons!

Enjoy your stay, and your beer! :guinness: Image

*note:  I have my own private 'stash' of emoticons on my PC, so not all the ones you see on my replies are necessarily available.Image

Hi!

My name is Andrew. For anyones interest, 'darwen' comes from randomizing my name. :D
Why am I here? Well for the first time, while browsing the internet, i found your site, and I may say, that it made me interested, very much. :)
Maybe it's because I consider myself a non-believer or not-religious,but spiritual.

By the way, I'm very keen on making music(really good) and to draw(as a novice). I've playing on guitar for more than 2 years, after that I tried the bass-guitar, then changed to small-toms, and sometimes drum-kit too.
Regarding the drawing, I became interested thanks to my ex-girlfriend, who is on ambient-graphics in high-school.
Furthermore, I was occupied with poetry for a long while. I still used to write poems, when it comes to me...
And a lot other more things...

I would like to say hello here, to Selene ;) for inviting me.

Hello, so nice to meet everyone here.

My name is Willow (and yes, I've had to prove that by showing my birth certificate...).  I'm the now-single mother of two wonderful grown-up children.

I have always had pagan beliefs and now I have the time and soon the finances to persue my interests (looking forward to joining the OBOD).

New Here!

Postby Anastrianna » 24 Jan 2007, 14:49

Hello all,
My name is Honey and I am new to this board and a new member to the OBOD.  I am awaiting my first lessons!!!

I am 34 years old and live in Atlanta, Georgia.  Although I live in an urban area, I am looking forward to learning how to bring a more-in-touch with nature lifestyle to my life.

Hi, I'm Giovanna. I posted an introduction on the Bards Board, but realized I ought to do it here, too. I live in Minneapolis, Minnesota and recently went back to school to finish a degree in archaeology. My field of study is the Bronze Age of Western Europe and I spend a lot of time with very old bronze axes. Things have changed for me a lot and in the past I have been a freelance artist, jeweler and gem cutter, plus a ton of assorted jobs that go with trying to pay the bills as a freelancer. I also have a 3rd degree in traditional Reiki, and teach classes locally. I'm also very involved in Tai Chi and Chi Gung, and spend a lot of time doing the various weapons and forms.
My dad was from Modena, Italy and almost all my family lives there, so I try to get back as often as I can.
I'm 51, but since most of my peers seem to be in their early to mid 20's, I'm not sure age counts for much anymore. While I've had a lot more experience, I am still wide-eyed and learning. The adventures never end...

Hi everyone,
My name's Steve, 45 years old. I've been a Wiccan for around 30 years though not very active recently. I have recently had a bit of a spiritual wake-up which lead to me joining OBOD and have started the bard course.
Currently I live in Surrey though my weekdays (and nights) are spent in Staffordshire.
Lovely to meet you all.
