I've been on my path since I was 15, though I think I wandered off some years ago. Now it's time to really start looking at how I want to live my life... and druidry fits in quite well there, I think. I haven't yet started the Bardic course, though I have the intro package and I'm trying to figure out if I have the funds for both the text and audio course, or only the text course. I've been feeling ... sluggish for the past two or three years, so it's time for something new to happen. :)

Looking forward to learning lots here!

My name is Gwen and I'm 39. I live in New Brunswick, Canada and about 10 plus years ago I stumbled on my pagan path. Initially, it was Druidry that drew me, but a friend was into Wicca and I researched that. Now I've come full circle and am just at the beginning of the Bard level of my journey with OBOD. I'm looking forward to it, but know realistically I will be slow at it (children and life and all :) ).

Nice to 'meet' you all

Gwen

Hi Gwen :hiya: The slower the better! |-) What's the saying? "As fast as a speeding Oak!" :-) As to your family, My child (who is actually an adult now) was a great help to me on my jouney and I hope yours will be for you! :D After all there really is no separation as you know. Anyhoo, when it's time, please feel free to sign up for the member's forums as well here: viewforum.php?f=240

Let's see...oh, our main site is http://www.druidry.org but then you most likely know that already. :-) Well, if you need anything or have any questions just post or give a shout.

Correction Gwen. This link might be better: viewtopic.php?f=247&t=30632

Hello,
I'm Diviacus from France (near Paris), and I am 62 years old. I have been interested in the Celts for 10 years and just discovered today this site by chance, attracted by a very interesting thread.
I hope I will learn more!
Thanks

Hi I'm Sablemaine (or Vaughan if you like) and I live in Birmingham in the UK; I first started to walk the pagan path in my late teens, Im now 41.

I am an eternal seeker, and no closer to finding out how the universe works (as Oscar Wilde put it 'I am not young enough to know everything')... but I'm having fun looking for the instuction manual.

I have studied Wicca in the past, and have now been studying the Druidic path for about 5 years ( I'm currently at the End of the Ovate grade).

I will say that in most of the forums I join I fit quite nicely into the role of lurker, so I don't expect my post count will sky-rocket; but if the mood takes me I add the odd reply.

I look forward to listening into some pretty interesting conversations

Hey there, I live in the united states in Ohio, I'm only 16 soon to be 17, I've struggled trying to find my path for the last few years, I was raised by Christians, although found myself drawn to druidry and have been so far finding my way on my own without much help. I suppose you could label this as me looking for some form of assistance heh. Anyways, yeah.

Hello,

I am Lucas, I have not quite found a pagan name yet. I am 17 and I have a ancestry of many different cultures which is perhaps why I have never really found the right Pagan path for me. Brought up in Switzerland I feel that I have always had the pagan calling, I love the woods and always have felt very connected to nature, and for the last year I have been exploring "neo-pagan" religions, yet because of a mixture of heritage I never felt part of either the Cultus Deovum or the Odinic Rite - although I admire Odin greatly. I feel as if I have finally come across what is right for me. This Order seems to me to be the best fit and I look forward to ordering my taster package. It looks fantastic and I congratulate the hard work gone into it.

A bit of Personal background: My Mother is Chilean and my Father Anglo-Portuguese I have lived in Various Countries. I am in my last weeks of boarding school In the UK but I live in Italy. I don't really fit in yet I am an accomplished student. I love Thoreau, and at school founded a Society in his honour. Hopefully in August I shall be heading off to the University of British Columbia to study Anthropology and First Nations Studies as well as Forestry. I Plan to order the taster kit once back in England and hopefully start the course once set up at Uni.

Any Help or Guidance would be great, Any books you recommend or people I should E-mail - In England or BC Canada

Cheers Hopefully I will hear from you guys, feel free to PM me, in fact I encourage it, please do.

Lucas.

Hello, my name is Omer, 41 years old and I'm from Kentucky in the US. I've been following a native american / christian path my entire life and always have been interested in druidry. I didn't know anything like OBOD existed until I stumbled onto it online. Glad to be here, I've already learned so much about how my ancestors looked at the world. I'm thankful that I can follow a part of the path they walked.

Hello Omer :shake: Love your avatar (the bear) by the way  We have a Druid/Christian Forum if you're interested. All you have to do is PM Katsu (the forum's gatekeeper) for entry.

Any questions just shout. :D

Yallow, I am Hagar, very niceto be here. am getting on a bit and live in sunny orsnowy England, depending on which way your pendulum swings. Or a google at a google satelite map may indicate an up and coming warm front, let's see? I was just wondering if you have a Druid/Muslim forum, maybe it is gate keepered like the Christian one, but as we are People of the book also I would like admittance to the Christian section. I have been receivin messages that the burial customs as outlined in The New Testament ofChrist/Jesus.Yeshua was in fact a Musim burial with a shroud and anointing of herbs as is our custom. So it sort of rules out Jesus/Christ being a Jew or belonging to the Jewish Tribe descended from Abraham and Issacc. It indicatesthatJesus/Christ/Yeshua came from another tribe, namely Hagar and Ishmael. A simple observation for all to see, at least those that can read. I welcome any thoughts and contributions of newcomers to this topic. So jolly goodto be here.

Hello Hagar :shake: Welcome to the Board :D I'm sorry, but the Druid-Christian forum is restricted to those who are following both Druidry and Christianity as a blended path; as to a Druid/Islamic forum, I'll ask.

Cheers,

Greetings y’all,
It sure has been a loooong time. In all honesty, I don’t recall the last time I stepped an electron within the figurative walls here, let alone been involved with the Order. I have been on a grand adventure called life and have moved and lived in several different states, working with many different groups within Contemporary Paganism since last I was here. Recently though, I felt an old tug, one I had not felt in a long time, and did something I have not done in a very long time. I took out my Gwers, sat down with them, and in earnest began to work through them once more.
As I look around, things sure have changed—a lot. Anyway, I look forward to meeting all the new folks, and maybe even bumping into some old names.

Blessings,
-Spanish Moss
