Hi, Chris,
On the OBOD site, when you click "Join," you're taken to a page where you choose your geographical area. Choosing "US and rest of world" takes you here:
http://enrol.obod.co.uk/packages.html. Next to each item description is a link that says, "More information." Click that and you see a photo of what is included in each, along with a link to a currency converter. Just click that link, enter in the price in £ and set it to tell you the amount in $.
For example, right now (currency exchange rates tend to vary from day to day), the £18 Intro Pack is US $28.57. The text-only version of the Bardic course, at £215, is US $341.17 if bought all at once. If you pay for it in 4 quarterly payments, each payment of £57 will be about $90.45, and if you opt for the monthly payment plan, the £19 translates to $30.15 each month. (You can use any online currency converter, such as that found at
http://www.xe.com/, for amounts that aren't precalculated on the OBOD site.) But this is just to give you an idea of what you're going to pay or to let you know what to make your check for if paying by snail mail. If you use PayPal or a credit card, the conversion is done for you.
Unfortunately, while there are many druid groups in this country, they are rather scattered and I don't know of any active groups in Ohio. While there's no doubt that belonging to a group has a lot of advantages, there are more people who are solitary than in groups. But there are gatherings from time to time where people can get together for a long weekend...and there's always this message board!
