I'm 55 (ouch!). I live in the Sonoran Desert, in southern Arizona, USA. I have a degree in Mathematics. For money, I'm a computer software engineer.
I'm what you'd call "slow to warm", which is what we say about very shy people these days.
I'm taking the OBOD bards' course, but slowly. In my better days, I was always aware of and in contact with my natural environment and a peace-nik, now looking to recapture that ethos in my life, and druidry appears to be the compatible way. Looking for ways to reconcile the Druid teachings with a more austere (but no less enchanting) landscape here in my beautiful desert.
Welcome to the Board and to the Order!
Make yourself at Home

Thanks! I guess I had posted here already! I couldn't remember. In any case I had taken a hiatus for awhile lol.
It's good to have you back. Yeah, some things and people have been moved about or added since you left but I think you'll find most things are still sort of in order.

Hi Lily!
No need to say ouch! You're still a youngster around here. Ask Selene for access to the Sages and Crones so can joust with your contemporaries
! But I've just gotten access to the Bards' room & there's so much to see!

My name is Tim (thebadpoet don't I know it), 32 for a couple of more months and I live in sunny Surrey in England's south east. I have recently commenced upon the bardic path having finally returned to my love of Druidry. I had first found interest of back in my teens though it is only through the wonders of the Internet that I have found the ability to find like minded souls. For some reason I can find no Groves or Seed groups in these parts... If anyone is from Surrey however then please do pipe up
Bright blessings
Tim
Welcome to the Board and Welcome to the Order.
To answer your question; Once you sign up in the members forums, you will see the grove and seedgroup information forum. Also, you should be receiving Touchstone, the Order's journal.

I can see that you are not signed up for the Bards forum, but don't worry it's simple:
when you go back to the Main Board index (that's the main menu) Just scroll down until you see a section called: Deeper into the Forest, then Click on that section and follow the directions from there.
Curious.

The title of this thread is rather...interesting. The oddly mixed capitalization in "INTRoDucTIONS" reminds me of the days before Facebook took off, when MySpace was the king of internet social media. The "Con" at the end is unsettling. What could the OP have meant to say before being so abruptly cut off? Phoenix21 has but one solitary post with no explanation to be found.Curious.
A Warm greeting from accoss the OHIO in Indiana.
It's good to see another "Tri-Stater" here.

I remember at the age of 11 asking a christian brother ,who was a long time friend of the family , if jesus died on the cross, how could he be alive again three days later?! The brothers response wasnt at all convincing so, there began my journey.
During my working life i have worked as everything from a plummer to a salesman but for the past 20 years or so ,I work as an actor /singer/ yoga teacher/ personal trainer/reiki master and have an avid interest in all aspects of health and fitness . I have been surrounded by music my whole life and manage to bang out a tune on the guitar and highland pipes(coming from a family of pipers).
My uncle died three years ago, he was the last of the active pipers in the family and as he was being lowered down,i made a promise to him, that the instrument would live on ,so i took it up and had the privilige of heralding in my mums 80th birthday celebrations three weeks back playing my uncles 150 year old set of pipes. Shivers go up my spine just thinking about it.
That will do for now, its a long and enlightening road ahead....
Happy days to each and every one of you trailblazers...
