Hi,
My name is Janet. I am 24 and live in North Carolina with my husband and animals. I have been a self taught pagan since I was 15. I am looking forward to the lessons of the bardic grade. I have been craving structure and mentor-ship for about 2 years now. I am hoping to gain the knowledge to step up and be a future leader for not only Druids but all pagan movements. Lately I have been hit over the head with signs by the goddess to take this patch and I have decided that it is time I stop being a silly human and listen to her.

Hello, you can call me Eldresh. I'm from southern Louisiana and while I haven't had the chance to study I've always been interested in Druidry and this always seemed like a nice group of people, so I finnally joined the forums.
Oh I was born of mortal flesh, as human as you be,
'til from my horse one day I fell and the fairy queen caught me.
Pleasant is the fairy land, but an eerie tale to tell.
For at the end of seven years they pay a tithe to hell.

Hey everyone. My name’s Jay, I’m 24 and live in South Essex, UK. I started on the path eight years teaching myself a little of this and a little of that. Mainly witchcraft and energy work however losing my way in recent years foolishly letting the stresses of modern life distract me from my spiritual progression. After much support and encouragement from my fiancée I began reading my old books again and by chance I stumbled across the Druidcast. Needless to say come pay day I signed up for the Bardic course. My materials arrived this morning and I can’t wait to get started. :tiphat:

The very best with everything Jay.
The daily toil and stresses of every day life are great teachers also and as much a part of your journey.
Welcome and enjoy this next magical stage

Thank you both for the warm welcome. It's certainly true that every challenge has it's lessons to teach and maybe I had to learn those first. Without the rain the crops won't grow and I figure that goes for the spirit :-D

Oh dear! Somehow I seemed to have missed this page? Oh well here goes.
My name on here is Heulwen but otherwise known as Angela. I have been Pagan for most of my life without really knowing it , I have Irish blood running through my veins, an Irish mother and both Grandmas. I never felt comfortable with Christianity although I have two very dear friends that are Christian and we have some very interesting conversations. I'm 65 now :old: and have taken my time in adopting a label for want of a better word. I am in my first year at Bardic grade but feel I have always been a Druid. All my life I have respected nature and have had a deep love for trees, to the point that if I saw a tree damaged in any way I felt phyisical pain :-( . I was a Chiropodist when I worked but now am a semi professional artist, I call myself, the bardic artist. I live in Suffolk UK, not far from the sea.
It has taken me a while but I have come home. :hiya:

I'm Karen, and live in North Carolina, USA. I joined the Awen's Light Grove (ALG) online meetup a couple months ago, and after following them for a bit, decided to introduce myself in person at Pagan Pride Festival in Raleigh, NC a couple weeks ago, which convinced me to join OBOD. The Druid Path is not new to me; I have counted myself a Druid for some 15 years, and have been studying and learning mostly on my own - other than involvement with "non-denominational pagan" groups through the Unitarian Universalist Church, and casual involvement with an informal Druid group here in NC a few years ago. I grew up with a fairly traditional (but also liberal) Christian mom & an atheist/agnostic dad, and had some interesting experiences with that! But, after spending a fair amount of time studying various types of religious/spiritual practices, and finding that both all of them fit, and none of them fit, I raised my kids as pagan Unitarian Universalists. I won't share my age, but I will say that those kids are now 29 and 25 years old! :-)

I'm looking forward to meeting everyone and participating in this community!
