Hi all,
I'm checkin' in from the Netherlands, Cat's the name, 33 (the horror

), following the wandering roads of the pagan paths that are unfolding in this day and age, in a way since I was little and realised that I saw a different world than most, and more actively ever since 'bout 2000 the internet opened up a whole new way for me to connect with people all over the world. I've started my journey by recognising elements of my view of the world in modern witchcraft, but always remained a solitary practioner. I've been introduced to shamanic ways and even been fortunate enough to learn how to (safely) lead eclectic sweatlodges. But as more and more people just start "playing Indian" this somehow doesn't feel good anymore, so out of respect for the native ways I've stopped conducting and attending sweatlodges. If I need to think in the warmth and quit, I'll go to the local spa now, and that works as well, als most of the work is inward. When a friend, whom I more consider a sister of my soul, asked me to perform her handfasting in Glastonbury a few years back, I would have never though that my visit to Tor and White Well would be awakening something so deeply ingrained in me. I've only been in the UK twice, once in London, and that time in Glastonbury, but both times it feels like home from the minute I set my foot on the ground. There's something calling me, singing to me, and I've put off listening to it for too long.
So, for some time I've been lurking around here, doubting wether I'll really start in this new direction. I've ordered the course (introduction) and are really looking forward to reviewing what I've learned on my path so far and putting it in a structure that gives freedom, but still asks for commitment.
Just a quick overview of the rest of my life: animallover, cats, rabbits, chickens, horses, own a lawfirm, collector of swords and knives, motorcycle-racer, love to cook and garden (I'm getting into permaculture more and more), walking, running, swimming...
Want to know more, just ask!
Cheers,
Cat
