What are we Thankful for today?

I am thankful to look out at the 2 plus feet of snow we just received in my very little corner of the world and see the bright blue sky and the sun shining on this winter wonderland. What a gift!

I'm thankful for old fat cats who are too lazy to move when you go to cuddle with them.

I have been thankful for a day off from work, and being able to curl up with a good book. (Well in the end it was actually several good books)

I am thankful that I am still alive;
I was pretty ill recently and the fact that i am back at home, sitting here writing at my pc in my
in my warm, bright room is a blessing to me...
Tis a cliche, but, tis true: you don't know what you've got till its gone (or threatened to be gone).
When you've looked down on life like that (and you'll know what i mean some of u) its never the same again...
I feel like i've been given a bit longer on this beautiful green earth..
This spring is going to be the sweetest i have ever witnessed in my all my years so far!

Today I'm very thankful for a wonderful man who is helping me through some very tough stuff. For his kindness, understanding, acceptance and compassion. It's bitter-sweet for me for I know that in a couple of months time I will have to say goodbye to this person, and that is going to be so very hard. Perhaps knowledge of the impermanence of my relationship with this person makes my emotions even stronger and more valued. Achilles in the film Troy best summed up the beauty of the impermanent when he said: 'The gods envy us! They envy us because we're mortal.... everything is more beautiful because we are doomed. You will never be lovelier than you are now, we will never be here again'.

I'm thankful that my back has finally stopped hurting.

I am thankful for it not to be raining,on my day off, my tooth ache has stopped(dentist can't find anything) and me and my partner have had a lazy(cold day) wandering around Rollright stones and a lovely hot chocolate at the local garden centre near there,before the kids come from school.
