Very interesting thanks :D
The word 'Sattelkopfpferd' how does it translate?

I assume it's German but my Deutsche is not good enough. It seems to directly translate as Horse Saddle Head or google translate as Pommel Horse.
Most dear is fire to the sons of men,
most sweet the sight of the sun;
good is health if one can but keep it,
and to live a life without shame. (Havamal 68)

Seems to be a numismatic term for a specific type of horse found on celtic coins. The german compound word "Sattelkopfpferd" without this context is nonsense, as you already noticed ;)

Celtic coinage in general is so 'weird' that modern numismatic experts (not famous for their imagination) often give them silly names - in this case saddlehead-horse, because they have no idea what they are looking at. In fact, if we look at the development of Celtic coinage during this period -

we see experiments with abstractionism, surrealism, and even post-modernism - ideas that would not reemerge in European art for another 2,000 years!
