Devotion of the Five Elements

Postby Sad Saille » 15 Oct 2010, 08:40

I wrote this several years ago and was hoping for some feedback.

Devotion of the Five Elements

I call upon the powers of Earth
Maternal force which gave me birth
Suckle me and make me strong
Nourish me my whole life long
Give me stamina and strength
So I can go to any length
To lend my aid to one and all
As I heed this Pagan call

I call upon the powers of Air
The breath of life is everywhere
Clear my thoughts and wake my mind
My true path that I may find
Enhance my powers of intellect
Flaws and weaknesses detect
So from my path I will not stray
Following the Pagan way

I call upon the powers of Fire
Creative spark of my desire
Burning brightly in my sight
Guide me through the endless night
Let my passions, like a flame
Shine forth in creations name
That I may build a new world now
Honoring my Pagan vow

I call upon the powers of Water
Sea who loves both son and daughter
Immerse me in your waters deep
Teach the secrets that you keep
Let me flow and let me change
What doesn’t work, I’ll rearrange
And take the form that lets me best
Complete my sacred Pagan quest

Spirits power, I beseech
Blessing all within my reach
Plot my path and stay my course
Guide me to your sacred source
Show the way, give me the key
Unlocking true divinity
Help me free the world from strife
Help me lead a Pagan life

I think I shall always insist upon these.
