I stand on marble
Above the clouds
And look down into
The storm below.
Nothing left.
No more blind obedience.
No more pain.
No more seeing
The fruit of love
Ever gardening
Never tasting.
What is an eternity
Of candle light once one
Catches a glimpse
Of the sun, of You?
I close my eyes
And leap. I smile at
My first feel
Of gravity.
Without fear I fall
My light tearing
Away from me like
Cherry blossoms
In Spring wind.
I leave a faint
Trail of dying
Stars behind me.
I feel the rain
In the clouds
Strike my skin.
Skin, I muse,
I have skin.
The thought of you
Destroys my reverie
As I remember
Your skin and
Wonder what it will
Feel like now.
I feel fire
Burn within me
And I know I am
Getting closer to
Where you are.
Those below see
A falling star
Strike the forest.
The sky screams and
The earth groans
At my arrival.
You, unafraid step
From behind the trees
Braided auburn hair
cascades your ivory
Shoulders. Your
Eyes of ice fire
Take my breath away.
Breath...I laugh,
I am breathing.
Suddenly, I am
Intoxicated with
Your scent. I
Run to you as
You run to me.
Your lips meet mine.
Heaven and Earth
Turn to watch
In wonder. What price
they ask for such bliss?
I traded my wings for a kiss.
